• Employment contract or other agreement confirming remote work.
• Bank statement showing salary or fee payments of at least €3,480 per month.
• Tax declaration or a certificate from the employer confirming taxes have been paid.
• Proof of sufficient funds to live in Portugal — a bank statement showing savings of at least 12 minimum wages. In 2025, this amount equals €10,440.
• Motivation letter in English, explaining the applicant’s occupation and reasons for relocating to Portugal.
• Tickets to Portugal for the approximate arrival date with the visa.
• Criminal record certificate with a Hague Apostille, translated into Portuguese. The certificate must be issued by the competent authority of the applicant’s country of nationality or the country where the applicant has resided for more than one year.
• Rental agreement or property purchase contract in Portugal.
• Health insurance.
• Completed national visa application form.
• For children under 18 – copies of parents’ identity documents.
